422 South have producing animated interpretations of many data sets revealing the patterns of daily life of the Netherlands folk. This clip shows the patterns flown by a photographic survey plane as it scans the whole country – building up a complete photo record of the Netherlands from the air.

Other animated sequences follow the movements of people, trains and ships. And others describe the enormous challenge of managing the low-lying country’s relationship with water.

The programme has seen record viewing figures in Holland and continues to intrigue the Dutch audience.
